Or, à chacun la manifestation de l’Esprit est donnée pour l’utilité commune

But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all:

 

1 Corinthiens 12 :7-12

 8 En effet, à l’un est donnée par l’Esprit une parole de sagesse; à un autre, une parole de connaissance, selon le même Esprit;

 9 à un autre, la foi, par le même Esprit; à un autre, le don des guérisons, par le même Esprit;

 10 à un autre, le don d’opérer des miracles; à un autre, la prophétie; à un autre, le discernement des esprits; à un autre, la diversité des langues; à un autre, l’interprétation des langues.

 11 Un seul et même Esprit opère toutes ces choses, les distribuant à chacun en particulier comme il veut.

 12 ¶ Car, comme le corps est un et a plusieurs membres, et comme tous les membres du corps, malgré leur nombre, ne forment qu’un seul corps, ainsi en est-il de Christ.

INTRODUCTION

• When I think of the work and the indispensability of the Holy Spirit to the church, I compare it to the indispensability of electricity in our world.
• The church began in the day of Pentecost with the coming of the Holy Spirit.
• The Holy Spirit is the power by which the church functions, the very blood that flows in the veins of the church.
• The church was never intended to operate by the power of human intellect or skills.
• There are several inventions that have alternated the history and behavior of mankind every since their apparitions in our world.

The Printing Press

• In Germany, around 1440, goldsmith Johann Gutenberg inventedthe printing press, which started the Printing Revolution; which also led to the age of renaissance.

Electricity

• Electricity has been one of the greatest discoveries of all times.
• Benjamin Franklin laid the foundation and the understanding of static electricity early in the 19^th
• In 1879 Thomas Edison discovered the light bulb and took electricity to another level for common usage.

The Telephone

• In 1876 Alexander Graham Bell invented the telephone
• Now, when you look around you, just about everything you see has been affected by these inventions.
• The modern man wonders how life was possible without electricity and these other inventions.

The Indispensability of the Holy Spirit in the Christian Church

• The Holy Spirit is indispensable to the livelihood and the survival of the church.
• He recruits the sinner even before regeneration.
• He prompts the evangelists to herald the good news of salvation
• He prepares the heart for salvation
• He does the work of regeneration to cause the repentant sinner to be born in the spirit and in the family of God
• He equips the new born believer with special abilities to be useful in the body of Christ.
• He creates the platforms for Christians to minister their gifts.
• He orchestrates the body of Christ so that there can be harmony and efficiency.
• He distributes the spiritual gifts according to His own judgment.
• He creates interdependence among the saints so that no one gets rejected or feels unimportant.
• The Holy Spirit chooses whoever He wishes to bestow whatever gift He desires according to His own purpose.
• With the distribution of the gifts, the Holy orchestrates all the believers to form one functioning body called the Bride of Christ.

Or à chacun

• Or, à chaque croyant sans distinction
• Or à chaque personne née de nouveau dans le corps de Christ.
• Or à chaque membre de la famille de Dieu.

La manifestation de L’Esprit est donnée.

• L’œuvre opératrice du Saint Esprit est évidente.
• Un don particulier est donné par le st Esprit
• Une grâce particulière est conférée a chaque croyant de la part du St Esprit

Pour l’utilité commune

• Pour la bonne allure de l’Eglise.
• Pour la survie de l’Eglise
• Pour le plus grand bien des frères et sœurs en Christ.
• Pour le grand épanouissement de l’Eglise.
• Afin que l’Église de Christ soit complète
• Afin que l’Église de Christ soit bien équipée
• Afin que l’Église de Christ soit bien alimentée
• Afin que l’Église de Christ soit bien balancée
• Afin que l’Église de Christ soit bien fonctionnée
• Afin que l’Église de Christ soit bien équilibrée.

• The greatest problem of the church in the 21^st century, is that we have developed a consumer mentality, whereby we come to church to be served instead to serve.

• You ask some people, “Where do you go to church?” After they answer, you ask them, “What do you do there?” And most of the times, there is no answer that fallows.

• The average Christian of our days views the church in the same manner of a restaurant, or a movie theatre. You pay your money and you get served.

THE FIRST NINE CATHEGORIES OF GIFTS DISTRIBUTION BY THE HOLY SPIRIT TO THE CHURCH

8 En effet,

1. à l’un est donnée par l’Esprit une parole de sagesse;
2. à un autre, une parole de connaissance, selon le même Esprit;

3. 9 à un autre, la foi, par le même Esprit;
4. à un autre, le don des guérisons, par le même Esprit;

5. 10 à un autre, le don d’opérer des miracles;
6. à un autre, la prophétie;
7. à un autre, le discernement des esprits;
8. à un autre, la diversité des langues;
9. à un autre, l’interprétation des langues.

• Parole de sagesse, parole de connaissance, le don des guérisons,  le don d’opérer des miracles, la prophétie, la diversité des langues, l’interprétation des langues.

• I don’t know how many times I stay on my knees asking God to show me what to say and how to address a certain situation.
• Une parole de sagesse peut changer la situation.
• La division de la nation d’Israël fut cautionnée par une réponse de folie de la part du nouveau roi Roboam.
• Dans une parole de sagesse, on voit clarté de communication ; prudence, discernement, bonne orchestration des mots.
• Une parole de sagesse confère l’amour fraternel et génère : la paix, l’unité, la réconciliation, la joie et la bonne volonté.

(Parole de Connaissance)

• Parler avec l’aide du St esprit pour toucher le problème précis.
• Mettre à jour ce qui est caché avec l’aide du St Esprit.
• Tout comme Pierre révèle à Jésus qu’il était le Christ, le Fils du Dieu vivant.
• Jésus a son ton lui dit « Ce ne sont pas la chair et le sang qui t’ont révélé ces chose mais Dieu Lui-même.
• Une parole de connaissance donne évidence que l’auteur a été fusionné par la sagesse de Dieu.
• C’est pouvoir dévoiler un mystère sous l’inspiration du St Esprit.
• Chaque vraie prédication contient cet élément caché où l’orateur fonctionne et dit des choses au delà et en dehors de ses propres facultés.

Le Discernement des Esprits

• Il y a bien de manifestations spirituelles qui ne sont pas animées par le Saint Esprit.
• Jésus chassa Pierre disant retire-toi de moi Satan, alors que Pierre dans son intérieur cherchait à protéger Jésus.
• La Bible nous dit de sonder les esprits pour savoir s’ils sont de Dieu.
• Discerner les esprits, c’est de pouvoir sonder la source de la manifestation avec l’aide du Saint Esprit.
• C’est l’habilité de pouvoir distinguer le faux du vrai.
• Le don de discernement permet de découvrir les inconsistances provenant de la personne qui parle au nom du Saint Esprit. Soit de sa conduite ou de ses paroles.

La Foi

• Ici, il s’agit d’une foi qui va au delà de la foi salvatrice pour la rédemption de nos âmes, mais une capacité supérieure de pouvoir croire en Dieu jusqu’a rendre tangible ce qui était abstrait.
• Une dépendance élevée sur la toute puissance de Dieu. Une audace qui fait questionner même l’impossible.
• Quand on parle de la foi, on voit : pertinence, persistance, assurance, persuasion, assiduité, et conviction.

Le Don des Guérisons

• Quelqu’un que Dieu utilise de manière répétée dans l’exercice de la guérison des malades.
• Cette personne peut aussi avoir une compréhension surnaturelle de la maladie en question et en parvenir à suggérer le remède nécessaire.
• Quelqu’un qui a une foi redoutable en Dieu pour prier pour les malades.
• La Bible le fait paraitre comme une chose qui devrait être au quotidien dans la maison de Dieu.

Jas 5:14 Quelqu’un parmi vous est-il malade? Qu’il appelle les anciens de l’Église, et que les anciens prient pour lui, en l’oignant d’huile au nom du Seigneur;

 15 la prière de la foi sauvera le malade, et le Seigneur le relèvera; et s’il a commis des péchés, il lui sera pardonné.

 16 Confessez donc vos péchés les uns aux autres, et priez les uns pour les autres, afin que vous soyez guéris. La prière fervente du juste a une grande efficace.

 

Le don d’opérer des miracles

• Nous nous attendons trop souvent pour que le Pasteur ait ce don, mais Dieu peut conférer ce don à qui Il veut.
• Dieu opère encore des miracles à longueur de journée, mais nous cherchons souvent des explications logiques pour expliquer ces phénomènes.
• Prier pour que Dieu ajoute de la nourriture ou du carburant. Demander a Dieu une intervention immédiate et tout de suite l’aide est arrivée.
• C’est de pouvoir cultiver une compréhension élevée et une foi agissante sur la souveraineté et sur la providence de Dieu.
• L’exercice du don d’opérer des miracles c’est de pouvoir prononcer ce que Dieu a l’intention d’exécuter. Exemple : le vieux prophète Elie qui arrêta la pluie de tomber en Israël pendant 3 ans et 6 mois.
• Il le fit par une poussée de Dieu et non pour son propre gré.

 

La prophétie

• Prophecy can be a special insight to understand the revealed truth, or a transfer of knowledge from God concerning the future.
• The ability to hear God’s latest update relating to the matters of the time you live in.
• God still uses His servants in this fashion, mostly in preaching, or by intrusion, or by revelation, or by dream.
• If you shot a communication door by your unbelief, God will never use that means to communicate with you.
• When Paul was in his last trip to Jerusalem, several prophets prophesied what was going to happen to him. Those prophecies have no bearings upon the church as a whole, but a proof that God can communicate the present happenings to His children in miniscule details.

La diversité des langues

• The context limits us to spiritual languages but I think that God has endowed upon many an extra ability to speak foreign languages especially to facilitate the translation of the bible and the Christian songs.
• The diversity of tongues was commonly embedded into the practices of the first century church.
• This is to be differentiated from the Pentecost experience where the Holy Spirit enabled the speaker to speak in his primary language or in a heavenly language, and then enabled the listener to hear the message in his primary language.
• In this case, The Holy Spirit did the whole work by inspiring both the preacher and the listener.
• There is also the practice where the Holy Spirit would interrupt the service to pass a message to the church.
• Such primary speaker in use may utter words that are not familiar to him.
• In this case, another or the same person would be used by the Holy Spirit to decode, or to interpret, or to make plain what was being transferred in the message.

l’interprétation des langues

• In our days, we have tongues with no interpretation.
• We have tongues by people whose spiritual lives are in question.
• We have tongues with no specific message.
• We have all speaking in tongues together, each trying to out loud the other.
• We have intimidations to force people to speak in tongue or intimidation to stop people from speaking in tongues.
• We have Satan using his servants in the tongue business as well.
• In 1 Corinthians 14 Paul deals with the exercise of the gift of tongues and interpretation and he concluded by urging the brethren not to stop people from exercising this gift.
• I believe that we still have a lot to learn about this gift.

CONCLUSION

1 Cor 12: 11 Un seul et même Esprit opère toutes ces choses, les distribuant à chacun en particulier comme il veut.

12 ¶ Car, comme le corps est un et a plusieurs membres, et comme tous les membres du corps, malgré leur nombre, ne forment qu’un seul corps, ainsi en est-il de Christ.

• Humility must be at the core in the manifestation of the spiritual gifts.
• You need to approach the gifts with an open mind, because I find that most of the Christians who have preceded us who wrote the commentaries think that most the gifts in question are no longer in use in the church.
• Christians should make it a prayer concern to God to reveal the whole truth about this passage.
• We need to refute the hypocrisy that is often displayed in most Christian circles of our days, where we are prompts to claim the whole Bible to be true and refuse to accept any supernatural of god in our days.
• We believe anything, but it must be in the past.
• Elisha could use a branch to lift an arch from the water, but not now!
• Elijah could lie on a dead child and bring him back to life, but not now!
• Peter could send out a handkerchief to heal people at distances, but not now.
• People could speak in unknown tongues, but not now.
• Paul could curse the magician to become blind, but not now.
• The early saints could use the olive oil and prayed on it and applied it on the sick with prayers, but not now.
• Satan is still on the loose; people are still demon possessed, yet the church was launched to counteract the works of the devil.
• My question to you is: Is the church living to its task as Jesus intended?
• I urge all Christians to revisit the Bible,
  • This time, with an opened mind.
  • This time, with no pre-conceived idea
  • This time, with the vulnerability to allow the Holy Spirit to reshape your theological persuasion if need be.

May God add His Blessings unto His Word!
