Et Dieu, qui est fidèle, ne permettra pas que vous soyez tentés au delà de vos forces
But God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able
LECTURE : 1Corinthiens 10:13
13 Aucune tentation ne vous est survenue qui n’ait été humaine, et Dieu, qui est fidèle, ne permettra pas que vous soyez tentés au delà de vos forces; mais avec la tentation il préparera aussi le moyen d’en sortir, afin que vous puissiez la supporter. (LSV)
13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it. (NKJV)

INTRODUCTION
- God has a certain way to communicate with us that is so unique and unusual. Although I was not scheduled to preach today, yet, this message kept echoing in my spirit all week long.
- I keep saying “et Dieu qui est fidèle” over and over.
- I became reminiscent of a many instances where I would be overwhelmed by the attacks of the enemy, and how God has always managed to bring me out.
- I remember how a car caved on me in a junkyard in Florida, and how God managed to get me out of the situation safe and sound. And I say, “But God who is faithful”. Et Dieu qui est fidele.
- I remember some tragic accidents I missed that could have claimed my life, and I say, “But God who is faithful”
- I remember of some instances where the providences of God supplied for my needs in some critical moments where I didn’t know what to do, and I say, “But God who is faithful.”
- I remember some nightmares I woke up from and found myself still in the land of the living and I say, But God who is faithful.
- And I said to God, “Lord someday, I would love to preach a message entitled “But God who is faithful” “Mais Dieu qui est fidèle”
- As the opportunity availed itself for me to preach today, I began to explore another subject, as I was a little tired and I took a nap.
- As I was waking up, I found myself saying the same cliché, “et Dieu qui est fidele” , “And God who is faithful”

- Here, the analogy presents God as a match maker.
- God is pictured as a fighter’s manager or an athlete’s agent.
- God carefully arranges our fights for us.
- God only books the winnable fights for us.
- God examines our strengths, our steadfastness, our training, our discipline, our health, and our techniques, and He schedules the fights in order to show how good of fighters he has in His camp.
- We may not always be able to see God, but he is always at close distance watching how we are doing in the temptations.
- God already bets on us to come out as the winner, each time we go to these trials.
- God is never caught by surprise; all the happenings in your life are schedule and measured by Him.
- All that you will have to go through as trials and temptations will be in your weight class category.
- Some adversities will help you to discover some reserve strengths that were latent in you.
- You will surprise yourself by the result, but God knew all along that you would win, that’s why He did not spare you the opportunity to prove yourself.
WEIGHT CLASSIFICATIONS IN BOXING
- Back in the days there no weight classification in boxing.
- As a result, the boxers were often mismatched with opponents who were too small or too big for them.
- If you beat a guy who was way smaller than you, the victory was not that sweet but seemingly abusive.
- If you got beaten by a guy who was way smaller than you, then the humiliation could be unbearable.
- The audience was too often dissatisfied by the matches, that’s why they created a weight category where boxers would fight within their weight class and category.
- Before the fight, the boxers would step on the scale with all eyes gazing at them to see if they match the weight class expected.
- In some instances, the fight would be cancelled.
- In other instances, the title could be dismissed even if you win the fight.
- In other instances, you can be fined by the officials.
- There is what is called a (catchweight), this is when it is agrees by both parties for weight and size not to be a factor.
- In the Olympics, you can only exceed your weight class by 10 lbs.

- All these weight classifications are aimed at several goals:
- To ensure fair fights.
- To arose audience satisfactions
- To attract more boxers in the sport
- To undermine the brutality of the sport
- To avoid casualties
- And of course to make more profits.
GOD MATCHES OUR TEMPTATIONS

- Aucune tentation ne vous est survenue qui n’ait été humaine
- Pas même une seule tentation est en dehors de vos forces.
- Tout ce qu’on aura à faire face dans cette vie est déjà mesure par Dieu.
- Nous pourrions êtres les gagnants dans toutes les épreuves de la vie.
Ro 8:28 Nous savons, du reste, que toutes choses concourent au bien de ceux qui aiment Dieu, de ceux qui sont appelés selon son dessein.
Ro 8:31 ¶ Que dirons-nous donc à l’égard de ces choses? Si Dieu est pour nous, qui sera contre nous?
La victoire de l’Enfant de Dieu est Déjà Assurée Contre les Grandes Forces de la Nature
35 Qui nous séparera de l’amour de Christ? Sera-ce la tribulation, ou l’angoisse, ou la persécution, ou la faim, ou la nudité, ou le péril, ou l’épée?
37 Mais dans toutes ces choses nous sommes plus que vainqueurs par celui qui nous a aimés.
38 Car j’ai l’assurance que ni la mort ni la vie, ni les anges ni les dominations, ni les choses présentes ni les choses à venir, (8:39) ni les puissances,
39 ni la hauteur, ni la profondeur, ni aucune autre créature ne pourra nous séparer de l’amour de Dieu manifesté en Jésus-Christ notre Seigneur.
- Paul fit un survol sur les grandes forces de l’univers qui pourraient facilement anéantir un individu. Et il dit malgré toutes ces choses, nous sommes plus que vainqueurs.
- Malgré le diable rode autour de nous comme un lion rugissant, cherchant qui il dévorera. Et Dieu, qui est fidèle, ne permettra pas que vous soyez tentés au delà de vos forces
- Malgré le malheur atteint souvent le juste, Dieu qui est fidele le délivre toujours. Et Dieu, qui est fidèle, ne permettra pas que vous soyez tentés au delà de vos forces
- Isa 43:2 Si tu traverses les eaux, je serai avec toi; Et les fleuves, ils ne te submergeront point; Si tu marches dans le feu, tu ne te brûleras pas, Et la flamme ne t’embrasera pas.
- Ps 91:3 Car c’est lui qui te délivre du filet de l’oiseleur, De la peste et de ses ravages.
Ps 91:7 Que mille tombent à ton côté, Et dix mille à ta droite, Tu ne seras pas atteint; 8 De tes yeux seulement tu regarderas, Et tu verras la rétribution des méchants.
- Dieu reste fidele malgré les abus que nous subissons
- Dieu reste fidele, malgré de nombreuses portes sont fermées devant nous
- Dieu reste fidele même si nous sommes toujours aux aguets du diable
- Dieu reste fidele même si nous nous sentons à bout de force et d’énergie.
Ps 66:9-12 Il a conservé la vie à notre âme, Et il n’a pas permis que notre pied chancelât.
10 Car tu nous as éprouvés, ô Dieu! Tu nous as fait passer au creuset comme l’argent.
11 Tu nous as amenés dans le filet, Tu as mis sur nos reins un pesant fardeau,
12 Tu as fait monter des hommes sur nos têtes; Nous avons passé par le feu et par l’eau. Mais tu nous en as tirés pour nous donner l’abondance.
- Exemple des chats chez nous qui avaient l’habitude d’amener de gros lézards vivants vers leurs petits pour leur apprendre a chasser et surtout a ne pas avoir peur.
- La mère reste à courte distance, elle observe sans s’intervenir dans le combat à moins que son petit éprouve la faillite.
2Co 4:8 ¶ Nous sommes pressés de toute manière, mais non réduits à l’extrémité; dans la détresse, mais non dans le désespoir;
9 persécutés, mais non abandonnés; abattus, mais non perdus;
10 portant toujours avec nous dans notre corps la mort de Jésus, afin que la vie de Jésus soit aussi manifestée dans notre corps.
Et Dieu, qui est fidèle, ne permettra pas que vous soyez tentés au delà de vos forces
But God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able
YOU CAN BEAR IT
But with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it
Mais avec la tentation il préparera aussi le moyen d’en sortir, afin que vous puissiez la supporter
- God knows you can bear it.
- God knows for how long you can bear it.
Ps 125:3 Car le sceptre de la méchanceté ne restera pas sur le lot des justes, Afin que les justes ne tendent pas les mains vers l’iniquité. (LSV)
3 For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest On the land allotted to the righteous, Lest the righteous reach out their hands to iniquity.
- God who is faithful knows your class weight.
- God who is faithful knows what you cannot bear.
- God who is faithful will never expose you to something that surpasses your strengths.
- You may fear the future but remember that God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able
- You may fear to run in exhaustion, but remember that God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able
- God was faithful for eternity past, God is faithful today, and will remain faithful for all generations to come.
