BE CAREFUL LITTLE EYES WHAT YOU SEE

DO NOT ENTERTAIN THE THOUGHT OF SEXUAL IMMORALITY IN YOUR MIND

Mt 5:27-30

27 ¶ “You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’

 28 “But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

 29 “If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.

 30 “And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.

INTRODUCTION

• Today we will be talking about sexual sin and the different stages it can be committed.
• When we talk about sexual immorality, it encompasses a great range of sins tagged to sexuality.
• At a certain stage of the human development, the subject of sexuality becomes a dominant part of our lives.
• Those who are not married have a lot of curiosity about it.
• First, I want to say that God made man and women to be attracted to each other.
• Sexuality is not dirty or immoral in itself when it is done the way God ordains it.
• Anytime we disobey God’s word we commit a sin.
• Eating a candy is not bad, but eating a candy that you stole is bad.
• When we talk of sexuality, the idea of two people comes to mind.
• With the advancement of technology, people can now commit gross sexual sins without the presence of another individual.
• Sexual sin is the biggest pitfall of the human race and specially the children of God.
• No one is declared immune from that sin.
• Sexual sin has no respect for age or gender.
• Christians are immune from sexual temptation.
• God is fully aware of power of sexual immorality that He doesn’t say to resist it but to flee from it.
• Sexuality is not an invention of Satan but a gift from God to humanity to be enjoyed within the confine of marriage.
• It is the means by which people are born, society is build, and nations are formed.
• Sexuality is both a spiritual and a physical endeavor.
• Outside of the will of God, sexual sin has ruined more lives than any other sin.
• To start with, it is God who chooses the gender of a person.
• Christians are not permitted to engage in sexual activities until marriage and only with the person they are married to.
• Christians are not permitted to lure after their own gender because it is contrary to the will of God.
• Some would say, “What about my feelings, my impulses and my urges?
• Shouldn’t I respond to the demands of my body?
• The answer is no, you should train your body to listen to you instead of the other way around.
• Every since the fall of our fore parents Adam and Eve, every human being is born with the sin nature in them.
• It is very rational that your body may demand of you what you cannot give it.
• We spend our lifetime taming our bodies in all aspects.
• When we desire something that is not ours, we tell our bodies no, you cannot have it.
• When we wish to hit somebody because they insulted us, we tell our bodies no we cannot do that, we are civilized, we are better than that.
• When we desire to eat something or put something that is harmful to us, we say no to our bodies.
• Some who cannot control the urges become the addicts of our days.
• When you are young, the idea of respecting the speed limit is usually far from your mind.
• Even if you wish you could drive 100 miles an hour, you have to control yourself to respect the speed limit.
• You can have or cause an accident.
• You can lose your license.
• You can get a ticket.
• You can damage the car..
• Whether or not you are a Christian, your body will keep asking you for things to get you in trouble.
• Sexual desire is no exception to the rule.
• Your body may not discriminate age and gender in its demands for sexual satisfactions.
• Many are being rotten in jail because they could not say no to your body.
• Hollywood shows you that you have no control over your body, but the courtroom disagrees.
• Sex offenders occupy of all ages swell the detentions centers around the world.
• Each time your body proposes you something that is outside of the will of God you should exclaim NO!
• Eve succumbed to the temptation of eating the forbidden fruit after ignoring God’s order.
• As soon as her fear of God was gone, the temptation to eat the fruit became stronger and unbearable.
• She felt that she had to have it.
• That’s why the bible says that the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom.

ALL IT TAKES IS A LOOK AND A LUST

STAGE ONE

• The enemy has turned human sexuality into a weapon to vandalize mankind and prevent them from having fellowship with God.
• Jesus declares you and me guilty from the moment we conceive the idea of committed sexual sin.
• As you are entertaining the sexual sin in your mind, Jesus says that you are already guilty of committing the very act.
• Because you already give the devil the entry point in your life.
• The minute you start to entertain the thought of sexual sin, you become defenseless toward it.
• The fact that you are thinking about it, you are already laying the foundation for that sin to happen.
• You already pass stage one.

STAGE TWO

• The good thing for a Christian is that at this early stage of the sin, it is only between you and God.
• You can quickly confess that sin and ask God to get you out of that trap immediately.
• The minute you evoke God in the matter, He will send help to come your way.
• He will give you strength to flee.
• If you fail to respond to respond to the first alarm of the Holy Spirit, then stage two is inevitable.
• By nourishing the thought of sexual sin in your mind, you are already trespass Satan’s territory.
• All sins belong to Satan and righteousness belongs to God.
• Once you are on Satan’s property, you automatically lose the protection of God.
• You are vulnerable to all sorts of assaults from the devil.
• Stage two consists of staging up for opportunity to commit the sin.
• At that point, your mind is already made up; you’re just waiting for the occasion.
• You are no longer thinking about God.
• You no longer consider the consequences.
• Your feelings and your desires are in control of your life

STAGE THREE

• Stage three is action.
• In stage three you’ve already given to Satan the right to control you.
• In no time the prospect will arrive.
• The sin will be committed.
• Shame and confusion will follow.
• The fantasy will be over.
• A hook is put on you.
• A psychological storm will happen in you.
• Your innocence will be gone.
• Your sense of worth will be affected negatively.
• The grace and the presence of God will distance from you.
• The impulses of sin will become greater and greater.
• The sin will become your new identity.

BEING HYPNOPTIZED BY SIN

• When you stay too long staring at a sin, without realizing it, you become hypnotized.
• The longer you remain there the more your defense mechanism toward that sin becomes weak.
• You become like a zombie having no say in the trajectory of your life.
• Some will try their hardest to regain the control over their lives.
• That’s when you will discover how powerful the grips of sexual sin are.
• The Bible says in Hebreux 12:1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,
• Sin is compared to the spider web.
• Most insect could end up freeing themselves from the spider web except that the spider is always nearby to prevent that from happening.
• The spider moves in quickly to reinforce the grip by wrapping the prey with several layers of its silk.
• The spider will leave there to die in agony before consuming it.
• I always take pleasure to free these trapped insects if they are still alive because I am bigger than the spider.
• I can even kill the spider if it attacks me.
• I don’t want you to feel hopeless if you are trapped by sexual sins by that I mean all the sins associated with sexuality.
• Jesus is the only one who can free you because he is bigger than the devil.
• Even after Jesus frees you, you might still be vulnerable to that sin more so than others.
• That’s when the next course of action comes to finish this message.

ERADICATE THE ENTRY POINT OF SIN IN YOUR LIVE

29 “If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.

 30 “And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.

• This is the hardest part in Jesus’ teaching.
• You have to burn the bridges between you and that sin.
• You have to let go some friends
• You have to let go some family members
• You have to take extreme measure from drifting back to that sin.
• You can no longer rationalize with your body.
• Satan already knows your weaknesses.
• Jesus says that you have to let go that eye that’s getting you in trouble.
• You need to get weed off that foot that keeps walking toward sin.
• Going to heaven must be your greatest ambition.
• Fellowship with God must be the highest aim.
• There is no other way around it when your body refuses to listen to you.
• Wage a mighty war with your body to bring it under the submission of God.
• People have had to mutilate their body parts to save their live in case of accident of being bitten by poisonous animals.
• We I am not suggesting you to take these extreme measures, but the pain of what you might have to do may be equivalent to the plucking of the eyes in order to free yourself from sexual sin and access yourself for salvation.

• Time is not on my side to tell you what sexual did to David.
• I don’t have time to tell you where sexual fantasies lead Salomon.
• Davis had another son named Amnon who ended up raping his own sister because he could control himself.

CONCLUSION

• To avoid having to take these extreme measures of mutilating your body, you have to be vigilant.
• You need to listen to the first hint of the Holy Spirit.
• Avoid walking in those traps placed by the devil.
• Avoid those sexual sins of the mind.
• Know your weaknesses
• Make it a prayer concern.
• Avoid idle spiritual time.
• Busy yourself in prayer, bible reading, meditating, preaching by yourself.
• Listen to sermon and good Christian music.
• Rebuke the devil loudly.
• Seek accountability partners.
• Punish yourself for every bent and every fall.
• Get busy for God.
• And never trust your strength with the sin of your weakness.
• May God give you the strength to overcome sexual temptations.
