Que ton règne vienne et que ta volonté soit faite sur la terre comme au ciel

Let thy kingdom come, let thy will be done as in heaven so upon the earth

LECTURE MATTHIEU 6 :7-10

Mt 6:7 En priant, ne multipliez pas de vaines paroles, comme les païens, qui s’imaginent qu’à force de paroles ils seront exaucés.

 8 Ne leur ressemblez pas; car votre Père sait de quoi vous avez besoin, avant que vous le lui demandiez.

 9 ¶ Voici donc comment vous devez prier: Notre Père qui es aux cieux! Que ton nom soit sanctifié;

 10 que ton règne vienne; que ta volonté soit faite sur la terre comme au ciel.

Mt 6:7 “And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words.

 8 “Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him.

 9 ¶ “In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.

 10 Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.

INTRODUCTION

• In democratic nations, people go to the pole every 4 to 5 years to elect a new president with hope of a change.
• All voters have high hopes that their candidates will do better than their predecessors.
• We yearn for new administrations, new measures, faces, new brains, new systems, and new approaches in hope for improvements.
• Although the Children of God are shielded from the horror of this world, yet obedient Christians receive their fair share of persecution because this world in under the dominion of the devil.
• God has created a beautiful world that has been subjected to vanity by the wrongdoings of its tenants.
• Evil, stealing, killing, destroying, lying, and greed have permeated all our endeavors.
• The heart of man is becoming increasingly more wicked, just as the Bible says it.
• The more knowledge human beings acquire the move evil they become.
• Our greatest threat of existence on this planet is due to depraved scientists who have no regards for the human life.
• Who can kill a baby in the womb of his mother even in the last trimester except a well trained physician?
• Who’s working on the most powerful bomb that can wipe all of us out in minutes, except the genius of our time?
• We are dealing with manmade sicknesses, famines, poverty, and insecurities in this world at epic proportions.
• The kingdom of this world is in the wrong hands as we all observe.
• Christians have the obligation to ask God to do something about it.
• Since there is only one place in this universe where everything is done right, and that’s in God’s Kingdom.
• We want God’s kingdom to come and replace the present world order which runs by the dictates of Satan the adversary.
• The earth was not always as bad at creation.
• With the fall of mankind in the Garden of Eden, it gave way for a diabolical invasion whereby the human fell under the dominion of the devil.
• The entire physical world is lamenting for the day of its redemption.

Romains 8 : 19-21

Ro 8:19 Aussi la création attend-elle avec un ardent désir la révélation des fils de Dieu.

 20 Car la création a été soumise à la vanité, -non de son gré, mais à cause de celui qui l’y a soumise, avec l’espérance

21 qu’elle aussi sera affranchie de la servitude de la corruption, pour avoir part à la liberté de la gloire des enfants de Dieu.

Romans 8 : 19-21

19 For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.

 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope;

 21 Because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

THE SERMON ON THE MOUNT

• From Mathew chapter 5 to 7 we encounter the greatest sermon ever preached.
• Jesus took time to elaborate the principles of His kingdom.
• Just as Moses laid the foundation of God’s alliance to the Children of Israel with the law, Jesus likewise took His followers to a training camp and engraves the rules of the New Alliance in them.
• Jesus knew that carnal men would not be able to abide by His instructions, but the Holy Spirit in the heart of the regenerate souls will enable them to live by the standard of His kingdom.
• In Matthew 6: 9-18 Jesus gave instructions on how to pray.
• Our prayer must not be vain repetitions.
• Our prayer must be well constructed.
• The first aim of our prayer ought to be to honor God and sanctify His name.
• The second aim of our prayer is for us to line up with the precepts of God.
• The third aim of prayer is to make our petitions known to God.
• The fourth aim of prayer is to ask for forgiveness provided that we also forgive others.
• Jesus taught us that our prayers must end with praise and adoration to God.
• As we go through the Lord’s Prayer, we find this verse that demands specific attentions.

Matthieu 6 verse 10 dit : « que ton règne vienne; que ta volonté soit faite sur la terre comme au ciel. »

Mt 6:10 let thy kingdom come, let thy will be done as in heaven so upon the earth;

• This verse is very significant in sorting out what’s going on in our world these days.
• With the grace of God we will ponder on the applications of this verse in our message for today.

THE PERPLEXITY OF THE TWO KINGDOMS

• When Pilate asked Jesus if He was truly a king, Jesus replied: “My kingdom is not of this world.”
• Jesus’ answer to Pilate avowed that He was truly a king but in another world.
• Then the question remains, “who is the king of this world where we live?”
• This world where we live is not ruled by a king, but by a prince.
• The prince of this world will be dealt with accordingly by the creator of this world.

Re 12:12 ¶ C’est pourquoi réjouissez-vous, cieux, et vous qui habitez dans les cieux. Malheur à la terre et à la mer! car le diable est descendu vers vous, animé d’une grande colère, sachant qu’il a peu de temps.

Re 12:12 ¶ “Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time.”

Joh 12:31 Maintenant a lieu le jugement de ce monde; maintenant le prince de ce monde sera jeté dehors.

Joh 12:31 “Now is the judgment of this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out.

• As children of God, we are sometimes perplexed to see how our world is running as if there is no God.
• It seems that mankind has reached the pinnacle in his arrogance against the true and living God.
• Different people have risen up throughout the ages and give whatsoever rational for the existence of the world’ while omitting God in the equation. 
• How does God allow such to happen?
• Why is God so soft in protecting and defending His name?
• Why is evil so rampant?
• We know that the whole world was created by God; then, how did we get in that mess where God seems like a stranger to this world?
• We can all understand that this world or realm of ours was hijacked at some point.
• The hijackers or the kidnapers have taken this world in hostage.
• God had a big dilemma in His hand when Satan and his angels hijacked the kingdom of mankind.
• Every since the fall of humanity, God been operated with a lot of caution because the hostage situation of mankind is so fragile.

THE RESCUE MISSION OF GOD TOWARD MANKIND

• This is Jesus showing His disciples how to pray.
• The world as we know it is not being governed by the principles of God, but it ought to be the yearning of every believer for the reign of God to also include the earthly realm.
• Jesus entered this world from the back way because He first came as a rescuer.
• The minute Satan found out that He was in the field; he sent out to destroy Him.
• I want you to know that this world we live in is a kidnapped world, that’s why it’s not been run well.
• Nothing is the way it was supposed to be.
• The damages incurred by the kidnappers are so enormous that the owner of this world has declared it total lost.
• The only mission of God on earth now is to get His own out of this mess.
• God has a standing covenant only with the nation of Israel.
• Israel is the only interest of the Creator God in this world.
• 2000 years ago, He came to His own and His own received Him not.

De 32:21 Ils ont excité ma jalousie par ce qui n’est point Dieu, Ils m’ont irrité par leurs vaines idoles; Et moi, j’exciterai leur jalousie par ce qui n’est point un peuple, Je les irriterai par une nation insensée.

De 32:21 They have provoked Me to jealousy by what is not God; They have moved Me to anger by their foolish idols. But I will provoke them to jealousy by those who are not a nation; I will move them to anger by a foolish nation.

• To excite the jealousy of the Jews, God opened up the salvation that was crafted explicitly for the Jews to all who believed in Him regardless of race.
• It is still about the Jewish people, but the investment of salvation to the gentiles has pleased God considerably because He is the Creator of the whole world.

THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS ALREADY IN OPERATION IN THE WORLD

• The Kingdom of God has come to this world by the first coming of Christ.
• Lu 11:20 Mais, si c’est par le doigt de Dieu que je chasse les démons, le royaume de Dieu est donc venu vers vous.
• Lu 11:20 “But if I cast out demons with the finger of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you.
• The kingdom of God has been established by the victory of Jesus on Calvary.
• God’s kingdom will come in full strength on earth at the appointed time in the millennium reign of Christ.
• In the meantime, we the redeemed need to operate by the principles of the Kingdom of God in order to prepare the world for the full occupation of the Kingdom of God.
• We are heavenly citizens living on earth.
• We are ambassadors of God to impose the principles of God in this world.
• Jesus has already won the title of this world; we are the forerunners of his full dominion.

Php 3:20 Mais notre cité à nous est dans les cieux, d’où nous attendons aussi comme Sauveur le Seigneur Jésus-Christ, (LSV)

 20 For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, (NKJV)

• Jesus declared to his disciples, “You are the light and the salt of this world.”
• Jesus has given us power to vanquish the enemy.

Lu 10:19 Voici, je vous ai donné le pouvoir de marcher sur les serpents et les scorpions, et sur toute la puissance de l’ennemi; et rien ne pourra vous nuire.

Lu 10:19 “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

THE MILLENNIUM KINGDOM OF GOD ON EARTH

• Because of the prayers of the saints, the kingdom of God will come to earth in full strength for one thousand years.
• God is preparing to take over the world from Satan.
• This is a multi-facets operation that began with Christ dying on the cross to assure forgiveness and reconciliation between God and mankind.
• Then God set out to save as many gentiles as possible in the last 2000 years.
• The next operation in God’s agenda is the rapture of the church to close the era of the gentiles.
• After the rapture of the Saints, the following operation of God pertaining to this world is the redemption of Israel.
• The redemption of Israel will last for 1000 years where Christ will seat on the throne of David to rule all the nations of the earth.
• For that to happen, Satan will be bound and thrown in prison for one thousand years, because this world cannot have two commanders in chief ruling it at the same time.

Re 20:1 ¶ Puis je vis descendre du ciel un ange, qui avait la clef de l’abîme et une grande chaîne dans sa main.

 2 Il saisit le dragon, le serpent ancien, qui est le diable et Satan, et il le lia pour mille ans.

 3 Il le jeta dans l’abîme, ferma et scella l’entrée au-dessus de lui, afin qu’il ne séduisît plus les nations, jusqu’à ce que les mille ans fussent accomplis. Après cela, il faut qu’il soit délié pour un peu de temps.

Re 20:1 ¶ Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.

 2 He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years;

 3 and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must be released for a little while.

• While Satan is the prince of this world, but God remains the owner of this world.
• God has already declared this world total loss bound for destruction.
• God alone possesses the title of this world.
• Picture this world as a car that had been wrecked by bandits on its way to the junkyard.
• God only plans to remove the engine and the transmission out before sending this world to the crusher.
• Israel is the engine and the church is the transmission; the rest is junk.

CONCLUSION

que ton règne vienne et que ta volonté soit faite sur la terre comme au ciel

• You and I must wait a little longer but we need to take courage knowing that our God is faithful and prompt.
• His kingdom will come in due time and His ruling will be universally obeyed on earth as it is in heaven.
• We do not have to wait to start operating by the power of God’s Kingdom.
• The Kingdom of God on earth has come with Christ in His first coming.
• The Kingdom of God has been established by the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
• The kingdom of God is being exercised by the Children of God.
• The kingdom of God will come in full pledge in the second coming of Christ.
• Know your bible
• Know your rights
• Embrace your authority.
• Begin to impose God’s Kingdom by your deeds.
• And Pray for the full Kingdom of God to manifest in the near future.
