ET LA DOMINATION REPOSERA SUR SON ÉPAULE

Isa 9:6 For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Isa 9:6 (9:5) Car un enfant nous est né, un fils nous est donné, Et la domination reposera sur son épaule; On l’appellera Admirable, Conseiller, Dieu puissant, Père éternel, Prince de la paix.

INTRODUCTION

• Making a movie is a very complex project that requires the expertise of a host of people.
• After every movie, a long list of names follows in order to give credit to the participants.
• Names of main actors, Name of writers, Name of costume designers, cameramen, stunts and the list goes on.
• Names of Producers, directors, financial institutions,
• Name film companies, Name of various engineers in different fields, and the names of all the different contributors including investors.
• The birth of Jesus Christ is one the biggest events ever recorded in human history.
• The Creator of the universe to enter into the human race for a rescue mission that none other could accomplish.
• There is no shortage of names in the séance of the nativity of Jesus the Christ of God.
• Matthew and Luke both took care to give us a genealogy of Jesus going through different ancestral lines.
• The Old Testament prophets have played their parts in the forecasting of the coming of Jesus.
• The following is a list of some of the most significant entities that played a vital part in the coming of our Lord.
  • Zachariah
  • Elizabeth
  • John the Baptist
  • Marie
  • Joseph
  • ArchAngel Gabriel
  • Simeon the old man
  • Anna the prophetess
  • The Holy Spirit
  • God the Father
  • Chorus of angels
  • The shepherds
  • The wise men
  • The scribes
  • King Herod
  • AND FINALLY: BABY JESUS IN THE MANGER

 

The mysterious birth of Jesus was prophesied in the Old Testament.

• The first prophecy of the Bible about the first coming of Jesus Christ.

Ge 3:15 Je mettrai inimitié entre toi et la femme, entre ta postérité et sa postérité: celle-ci t’écrasera la tête, et tu lui blesseras le talon.

 15 And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel.”

• The last prophecy of the Bible is concerning the second coming of Jesus Christ

Re 22:20 ¶ Celui qui atteste ces choses dit: Oui, je viens bientôt. Amen! Viens, Seigneur Jésus!

 20 ¶ He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming quickly.” Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!

• The prophet Isaiah prophesied concerning Jesus’ birth, some 700 years before his coming.

 Isaiah 7:14,

“The Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin will conceive and will bear a son, and she will call his name Immanuel.”

Isa 7:14 C’est pourquoi le Seigneur lui-même vous donnera un signe, Voici, la jeune fille deviendra enceinte, elle enfantera un fils, Et elle lui donnera le nom d’Emmanuel.

A couple of chapters later, Isaiah prophesied about the birth of Jesus again, saying

in Isaiah 9:6:

“For a child is born to us, / A Son is given to us…/ And His name will be called / Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.”

THE MAIN ACTORS IN THE NATIVITY OF JESUS CHRIST

1-      GOD THE FATHER

Joh 3:16 Car Dieu a tant aimé le monde qu’il a donné son Fils unique, afin que quiconque croit en lui ne périsse point, mais qu’il ait la vie éternelle.

 17 Dieu, en effet, n’a pas envoyé son Fils dans le monde pour qu’il juge le monde, mais pour que le monde soit sauvé par lui.

Col 1:9 Car Dieu a voulu que toute plénitude habitât en lui; 20 il a voulu par lui réconcilier tout avec lui-même, tant ce qui est sur la terre que ce qui est dans les cieux, en faisant la paix par lui, par le sang de sa croix. (LSV)

 19 For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, 20 and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross. (NKJV)

HOLY SPIRIT

• The sinless nature of Jesus came from the fact that he was not born by the mediation of a human father.
• The Holy Spirit placed the father seed inside the tummy of Mary mysteriously which made Jesus a second Adam.  

Lu 1:34 Marie dit à l’ange: Comment cela se fera-t-il, puisque je ne connais point d’homme? (LSV)

 34 Then Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I do not know a man?” (NKJV)

 35 L’ange lui répondit: Le Saint-Esprit viendra sur toi, et la puissance du Très-Haut te couvrira de son ombre. C’est pourquoi le saint enfant qui naîtra de toi sera appelé Fils de Dieu. (LSV)

 35 And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God. (NKJV)

MARY

• Mary represents all the women on earth.
• She was also prophesied in Genesis 3:15.
• She had to be a virgin
• She had to be in the ancestral line of David.
• She had to have the level of holiness for God to feel pleased to hand her the great responsibility to raise the Savior.
• Mary is the most favored woman of all the creation for the honor that was granted to her to host the Creator of the world in her belly.

Matthew 1:18 tells us how this virgin birth came about.

Mt 1:18 ¶ Voici de quelle manière arriva la naissance de Jésus-Christ. Marie, sa mère, ayant été fiancée à Joseph, se trouva enceinte, par la vertu du Saint-Esprit, avant qu’ils eussent habité ensemble.

JOSEPH

• Joseph was a good man in shock.
• Joseph decided to break his relationship with Mary secretly in order to protect the life of Mary.
• Most other men would make a public spectacle of the suspicious pregnancy of their fiancés in aims to avenge themselves, but not Joseph.
• The angel made the fourth visit specifically to Joseph
• The angel confirmed who the real father of the baby was.
• In a sense Joseph played a pivotal role in the birth and the rearing of Jesus.

Mt 1:19 Joseph, son époux, qui était un homme de bien et qui ne voulait pas la diffamer, se proposa de rompre secrètement avec elle. (LSV)

 19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not wanting to make her a public example, was minded to put her away secretly. (NKJV)

 20 Comme il y pensait, voici, un ange du Seigneur lui apparut en songe, et dit: Joseph, fils de David, ne crains pas de prendre avec toi Marie, ta femme, car l’enfant qu’elle a conçu vient du Saint-Esprit; (LSV)

 20 But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. (NKJV)

JOHN THE BAPTIST

• The child needed a special front runner and John the Baptist was sent with the spirit of Elijah, one of the most powerful and respected prophet to fill the post.
• John had to have special parents, a special name, and a special prophetic endowment and message.

Mal 3:1 ¶ Voici, j’enverrai mon messager; Il préparera le chemin devant moi. Et soudain entrera dans son temple le Seigneur que vous cherchez; Et le messager de l’alliance que vous désirez, voici, il vient, Dit l’Éternel des armées.

Joh 3:28 Vous-mêmes m’êtes témoins que j’ai dit: Je ne suis pas le Christ, mais j’ai été envoyé devant lui.

Joh 3:28 “You yourselves bear me witness, that I said, ‘I am not the Christ,’ but, ‘I have been sent before Him.’

THE MAGI

·        The child needed to be recognized as king, and while the religious people were silent, the magicians were delegated.

·        The wise men were known as king makers. Through occultism, they had advanced knowledge on the significant events that went on planet earth and possibly beyond.

Mt 2:1 ¶ Jésus étant né à Bethléem en Judée, au temps du roi Hérode, voici des mages d’Orient arrivèrent à Jérusalem,

 2 et dirent: Où est le roi des Juifs qui vient de naître? car nous avons vu son étoile en Orient, et nous sommes venus pour l’adorer.

SIMEON IN THE TEMPLE

• The child needed to receive a special blessing and the old man Simeon was asked to do some overtime waiting for him.
• The Holy Spirit was active to cause Simeon to go to the temple on that day
• Simeon recognized the child immediately
• What kind of a child that causes all these excitements.
• While the religious bureaucrats paid no interest in the Promised Child, God had already set apart the old prophet Simeon to bless baby Jesus.

Lu 2:25- ¶ Et voici, il y avait à Jérusalem un homme appelé Siméon. Cet homme était juste et pieux, il attendait la consolation d’Israël, et l’Esprit-Saint était sur lui.

 26 Il avait été divinement averti par le Saint-Esprit qu’il ne mourrait point avant d’avoir vu le Christ du Seigneur.

 27 Il vint au temple, poussé par l’Esprit. Et, comme les parents apportaient le petit enfant Jésus pour accomplir à son égard ce qu’ordonnait la loi,

 28 il le reçut dans ses bras, bénit Dieu, et dit:

 29 Maintenant, Seigneur, tu laisses ton serviteur S’en aller en paix, selon ta parole.

 30 Car mes yeux ont vu ton salut,

 31 Salut que tu as préparé devant tous les peuples,

 32 Lumière pour éclairer les nations, Et gloire d’Israël, ton peuple.

 33 Son père et sa mère étaient dans l’admiration des choses qu’on disait de lui.

 34 Siméon les bénit, et dit à Marie, sa mère: Voici, cet enfant est destiné à amener la chute et le relèvement de plusieurs en Israël, et à devenir un signe qui provoquera la contradiction,

 35 et à toi-même une épée te transpercera l’âme, afin que les pensées de beaucoup de cœurs soient dévoilées.

ANNA THE PROPHETESS

• The last supporting actor in the nativity of Jesus Christ is an old woman named Anna.
• Jesus was going to elevate the role of women in the new dispensation.
• It is no coincidence that Anna was also introduced in the story.
• A woman played the highest role in the birth of Christ.
• A group of women took care of Jesus all the way to his death.
• A group of women went to the trouble in an effort to anoint the body of Jesus.
• A woman first saw the resurrected Savior.
• A woman first brought the news of the resurrection to all the others.
• A prophetess named Anna was divinely selected to bless the baby Jesus.  

LUC 2

36 Il y avait aussi une prophétesse, Anne, fille de Phanuel, de la tribu d’Aser. Elle était fort avancée en âge, et elle avait vécu sept ans avec son mari depuis sa virginité.

 37 Restée veuve, et âgée de quatre vingt-quatre ans, elle ne quittait pas le temple, et elle servait Dieu nuit et jour dans le jeûne et dans la prière.

 38 Étant survenue, elle aussi, à cette même heure, elle louait Dieu, et elle parlait de Jésus à tous ceux qui attendaient la délivrance de Jérusalem.

CONCLUSION

• Christmas is a time to reflect upon the birth of Jesus Christ.
• Christians should never allow Christmas to turn into a pagan celebration as before.
• We have a vast body of Scriptures devoted to the nativity of Jesus, this is the time of the year to tell the world what really happened two thousand years ago.
• While the world is busy commercializing the holiday, our job as Christians is to maintain Christ as the reason for the season.
• Isa 9:6 For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
